Office

how we work

Our office is customer-service focused, to make the best possible experience for you and your family.

Telephone calls
Telephone calls are handled by our receptionists who are trained to ask and answer pertinent questions, and your cooperation will greatly speed up the process. They will arrange for you to speak with or see the doctor when appropriate. Please have paper and pencil handy for instructions when talking with our staff. Additionally, if you are calling for a prescription refill, please do so during office hours and have the telephone number of your pharmacy available.

Financial Policy
Payment is expected at the time of service (co-pays, deductibles, and services not covered by insurance). Co-pays not paid at the time of services will incur a $10 billing fee. At the end of your visit, you will receive a receipt with all the information needed by your insurance company. As a convenience to you, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. For billing questions, please call our billing specialists at 586-286-9720. There is a $10 administrative fee for call-in prescription refills.

Appointments
We see all patients on an appointments basis. To schedule an appointment, please call us during the following office hours:
Monday and Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
We require 24-hour cancellation notice to avoid a missed appointment fee.

Emergencies
Our office offers 24-hour physician coverage. When an emergency arises after hour offices, call 911 or 586-286-9720. You will then be instructed as to how to reach our on-call provider who will then respond to your call. In this day of complex insurance programs, it is absolutely necessary that you follow your insurance policy regarding emergencies or you may be financially responsible. We therefore recommend that you review your coverage frequently so that you know what your contract requires in an emergency.
